Paul Robinson’s Bio:
Paul F. Robinson MD, PhD practiced emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine for four decades. During his career he witnessed some of the impacts of a changing climate on his patients’ health. He immersed himself in the scientific literature of global warming, finding it powerful, voluminous and undeniable. Today he speaks to citizens’ groups, members of the media, congressional and legislative staffs about current and future damage to human health and communities. He serves on the advocacy committee of Florida Clinicians for Climate Action. In addition, he is media liaison for the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health.
Carol Lindsey’s Bio:
Carol Lindsey is a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a Steering Committee member and Co-Advocacy Chair of the Florida Clinicians for Climate Action, she advocates for policies promoting climate, health, and equity. She’s also an active member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments an organization involved in educating nurses and/or the public regarding the effects of climate change. Her career includes over forty-years of nursing and public health experience in which she was dedicated to improving the health of underserved and vulnerable populations. Carol also served 30 years as an Active Duty Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service. She is now retired and educating others on climate change and its impact on health, a subject she is very passionate about.
