Event One: Veterans’ March, New Port Richey

FLVCS will provide the Color Guard for this march and we will carry and display our Revolutionary era flags. Our President, Gene Jones, will give the keynote address.

It’s important that FLVCS have a big turn out.

Event Two and Three: Veterans’ Day Parade and Picnic in Sarasota

FLVCS will participate in the Sarasota Veterans’ Day Parade. The parade starts at 10:00 AM at Washington Ave. and Main St. in Sarasota and proceeds down Main Street to Gulfstream and J.D. Hamel Park.

FLVCS will form up at 9:00 AM at the intersection of Main St. and Links Ave. As usual, we will decorate a 2 1/2 Marine Truck, our Color Guard will lead our contingent followed by members and supporters carrying our revolutionary flags. Those that can’t walk can ride.

We need drummers and pipers to participate with us.

There will be ceremonies honoring veterans immediately following the parade. FLVCS Vice-President, Mike Burns, is the Keynote speaker.

Picnic: Immediately after the ceremonies FLVCS will have a picnic in Sarasota Bayfront Park. (West US 41 and O’Leary’s restaurant.)

Walk with Rhana to overturn Citizens United and take back our democracy.

FLVCS supporter, Rhana Bazzini, is now walking past Brooksville and well on the way to Tallahassee from Sarasota.

Please walk with Rhana. Let’s not leave her alone out on some lonely stretch of highway.
