Is YOUR representative in Congress a co-sponsor of H.R. 2307? An FLVCS member gives you three good reasons why they should support this three-part climate change plan.
Best solution to climate change emergency
Three-part Climate Change Plan
Three points determine a plane. Three parts can determine a plan.
The best legislative solution to our climate change emergency is the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.2307). It has three parts. First, there is an increasing fee charged to carbon extractors. Second, there is a dividend (from the fee money collected) that is shared equally by all citizens. Third, there is an economic border adjustment mechanism that levels the international carbon marketplace.
All three parts of the plan are vital and hopeful. I like the first part because it discourages the pollution of our atmosphere with carbon compounds that trap heat causing the global warming which stresses all life on the planet, often in disastrous ways. I like the second part because it protects people who are less able to protect themselves economically, and I like the third part because it ensures that the plan will cover the entire geographic range of the problem.
If your federal Representative is not already a co-sponsor of H.R.2307, let him know that he or she should be, unless he or she has a better plan.
