Picture of Florida wildlife and farmland that will be harmed if unnecessary toll roads are built.

Stop Unneeded Toll Roads in Florida is FLVCS’s newest position paper in its Election 2020 series. The series highlights important National-level and Florida State-level issues FLVCS values. FLVCS’s goal is to inform voters before the upcoming election in November.

In this position paper, FLVCS asks incumbent officeholders and candidates to commit to repealing or defunding Senate Bill 7068. The Bill creates the Multi-Use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) office within the Department of Transportation. The program intends to build toll roads and related infrastructure in three corridors.

To learn about M-CORES’s negative environmental impact and FLVCS’s full position, see Stop Unneeded Toll Roads in Florida.
