Protecting Our Nation and Its Citizens

By Gene Jones, President, Florida Veterans for Common Sense, Inc.

Florida Veterans for Common Sense (FLVCS) believes veterans have a duty to help forge the future of our country. We support our nation’s founding principles of liberty, equality, human rights, and democracy. FLVCS takes non-partisan stances on the following three pressing issues.

  • Climate change threatens our national security, our economy, and the health of human beings throughout the world.
  • FLVCS supports veterans having legal access to marijuana and marijuana products for the treatment of pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, sleep disorders, and other conditions.
  • FLVCS implores Congress to pass legislation banning possession of assault weapons except for law enforcement officers and military personnel while on duty.
