Please join Florida Veterans for Common Sense as we participate in the John Lewis – Good Trouble Rally at the Sarasota Bayfront. The rally is in memory of Representative John Lewis whose death occurred on July 17, 2020.

We will hold American flags from the Revolutionary War era to the present to stand up against the Trump administration’s ongoing attacks on veterans’ healthcare and benefits. We are standing up because we know the truth: in America, the power lies with the people, and we’re rising to prove it.

Date: Thursday, July 17

Meeting place: Muster at the far end of the Suncoast Blood Centers parking lot,

1760 Mound St

Sarasota, FL 34236

Meeting Time: 7:30 AM

Suggested Dress – Black FLVCS polo or black short-sleeve shirt and khaki pants/shorts. FLVCS cap if you have one

We will provide hand-held flags to carry for those that don’t have their own – no signs, please.

We will walk to/from the rally at the Sarasota Bayfront. It’s a 20-minute walk.

Donuts and bagels afterwards at Resilience Incubator Boardroom on the 2nd floor of the Blood Bank.
