Indivisible Manatee will be hosting  Freedom of Speech: A Right Under Fire.

The program will be moderated by Sheryl Wilson, Former Chair of the Manatee Democratic Party and feature panelists: Dr. Keith Fitzgerald, retired Political Science Professor from New College; Emily Le Coz, Executive Editor-in-Chief of Suncoast Searchlight, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit newsroom, and George Thurlow, Attorney with Rahdert & Mortimer, PLLC. They will speak on challenges to freedom of speech in academia, the law and the attempt to end freedom of the press.

Panelists will discuss how the constitutional right to freedom of speech has been curtailed within the areas of academia, the law and courts and the media.
